If your software are not compatible like Wiskers said, they will not be able to connect together. My 797 on the front and my 998 by the driver seat could not connect to each other. And its not recommended to download a lower software to try and make them work together. It could cause the unit to lose some functions or possibly cause it to completely quit working.

No, nothing wrong with asking ... but, it's against site rules to advertise/post prices of items for sale unless they're posted in the Classifieds Forums. That's why it's best to discuss pricing by PM.

Here's the portion of the site rules to which I'm referring : (copied from Main Forum post)

"Do not advertise in your posts. This is a fine line and difficult to administer. You can mention a cool new product, or an ebay listing, or your wifes new embroidery business, but please do not turn it into an advertisement. Also, if you’re brand new to the site even that might be considered advertising.
Advertising Note: If you are a Sponsor Member, you are allowed to post advertisements and specials in the “Sponsored Members Classified Ads” forum. And you are allowed to advertise and include A URL in your signature.
All signatures should not be larger than the approximate size of a Business Card.
Spamming is not allowed. No links to other Fishing Message Boards, or competitors are allowed, even if you are an advertiser. Crappie.com is not a launch pad for your website.
If you make jigs, even if you are a Sponsor Member, to distinguish between advertising and posting about your jigs, please do not include pricing in your posts. You may include pricing in your post on the “Personal Classified Ads” forum, and if your a Sponsor Member, on the “Sponsor Member Classified Ads” forum.
If you have a business you can not post your business’s products in the “Personal Classified Ads board”. You must become a Sponsor Member and post on the “Sponsor Member Classified Ads” forum
Do not post the same thing on multiple crappie.com message boards. This looks like you are spamming the board.
Do not post personal information like addresses, maps, last names, phone numbers or email addresses.
You may only have one User name on Crappie.com. If you are banned from Crappie.com you are not allowed to come back using a different user name.
