Thread: Kentucky River lowdown

Decent ramp since it was fixed a few years back. There is no dock and the ramp gets slick with mud when the water gets up. Some good fishing in that area too. There was a huge tree cut up beside the ramp when I was there last Sunday. Should be some terrific scenery as you go up river past Cummins Ferry. Keep it in the channel and watch for floating objects. Usually not many folks on the river anymore in that area. When the lock was working the traffic from Frankfort to the next lock above Cummins Ferry was busy in the summer weekends. Use to catch some nice crappie under the BG Parkway bridge. My son and I would lock down there at Oregon.

Be careful and wear your jacket.
