I am wanting to come down to Barley lake in November 13-17 for crappie fishing. Is it worth the trip that time of year ? Would probably be fishing the Buzzard Rock area. Thanks for any information and help.

If your asking if you can go to that area and grind out eight hours of fishing and work yourself into a lather, you could probably stay home and work on the house or car and get the same results. On the other hand if you'd like to come to Kentucky and meet up with some of the best folks you'll ever meet and who will give you the shirt off their backs and every tip the can muster up, then your selection of location and time is perfect. Let me caution you, I did the same thing over twenty five years ago........I stayed. Just do the same things here as you do at home and you'll do fine. There are several guides on here who will take you out and get you started if that's what you like, just ask for their help. Good luck. Enjoy the trip.
Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!
IMO, definitely worth the trip. Mid-November to early December is my favorite time to fish Kentucky/Barkley but YMMV depending on how you like to fish.
Keep in mind that those dates fall right in the middle of rifle deer season and lots of the motels will be booked solid. You probably won't have much company on the lake but more than likely will get tired of seeing the pumpkin army everywhere else.

I fish Eddy Creek which is just south of there. I don't get to go a lot but I do try to make a trip in Nov. Good month to be on the lake.
Good luck
