I rent one of the cottages here. Plus the shindig is being held at Big Bear Campground. I think they offer a discount if ur tell them ur with the Crappie.com Shindig. But Wannabe is right Friday evening is a meet and greet pot luck dinner and Saturday is a Friendly Crappie tournament with weight in at 12 or 1 then a big fish fry afterwards.

Well typical male trait, it looks like some of my questions have been answered. Did they offer a special rate for CDC shindig? Is anyone from the Bowling Green area going?

Well thanks for all the help fellas. I think i'll give them a call at Big Bear and see if they have any rooms left for those dates. As far as the fruit jar goes, i'm already a pro at sounding funny and doing stupid things so i'll fit right in.

Just got off the phone with the young lady at Big Bear Resort an she hooked me up with a room so you can count me in. Gonna try and find a buddy to come with me. Yall need me to bring anything?

I committed to attend this event, I have realized i will be out of town dont want to mess up head count. maybe next time

We plan on being in sugar bay friday and saturday. Will try to run up and say hi sat aft for a min if lake is not to rough

Not a problem. We'll fish from about day light and try to be back at my campsite for the weigh in between 12 and 12:30. Just a friendly tourny with a couple of nice rods for the winners. Need to let us know if you wanna be included in the Big Fish Pot before you fish. It's $5 a head and winner take all.
