    Default Kentucky Lake Camping

My brother and I are coming down next weekend and need some suggestions on where to camp. No RV, just tents. Will be putting the boat on the trailer at night. Thinking about staying at Kenlake State Park. How's the tent camping there? Any other suggestions? We usually fish just north of Jonathan on the LBL side. Thanks very much for any help.

No way would I go to to Kenlake State park camping. Much nicer campgrounds on LBL. I go to Hillman Ferry on the LBL every year for over ten years. We tent camp & pull boats at night. Nice gravel tent pads, some sites have water, elect, sewage: whatever you want.

You can make reservation here, Land Between The Lakes

Only problem is the don't sell minnies if you want them but we either get them at Moors (across the lake) or at Ken's on rt 62.

    Have fun

Thanks for the info on Hillman Ferry and on the tick situation! I think we'll try Hillman Ferry. Any suggestions on which sites? I'm trying to make the reservations online but it looks like most sites are walk-up only.

You'll be lucky to get a site unless you show up early and hang around awhile. Heck come on over to Big Bear. I'll be there.
