Changed plans at the last minute & went to Taylorsville. Caught 5 keepers & untold numbers of dinks .... mostly all Black Crappie. All keepers were females with eggs, and ranged from 10-12". Eggs didn't look deteriorated, but water temps are too high now for any chance of survival ... so I expect them to absorb them in the coming weeks.

Most all fish were caught on the deep end of laydowns .... ~8ft deep over 14-17 FOW. We were so pleasantly surprised at the lack of wind & cool temps that had been forecast, and the less than normal boat traffic ... that we stayed in the same general area for the day.

I had "heard" that Black Crappie were now the dominant Crappie specie at Taylorsville, and Saturdays trip has all but confirmed that, to me.
