    Default Out for a while

Had shoulder surgery this morning. In a sling for a month. Don't know how long before I can fish again. Tight lines and be safe out there.

If you had a repair you should be ready to fish pretty quick. I had both shoulders repaired (Rotator cuff/Bone Spur & Clavicle Excise) and felt good within weeks after each surgery.

I've had 4 right shoulder rotator cuff surgeries. They got it right the 4th time when I ended up at Vanderbilt and had Dr. Spindler rebuild it. I wish he had done the 1st. I pretty much had to give up bass fishing with the constant pounding from casting baitcasters. Now it is mostly trolling or ultra-lite spinning gear for crappie and gills/redears.

Take it easy, do what your Dr. says and DO NOT miss any physical therapy appointments, regardless of how bad they hurt in the beginning.

    Good luck with it.

Good luck! I'd would have rather had a tooth pulled without novacaine than rehab my shoulder. DO WHAT THEY ASK OF YOU! My dad didn't and his is froze up. I did and I can pat myself on the back!!! Reeling may be tough for awhile. Took 3 months for me to be able to retrieve for very long without resting it but Mine was not a rotator cuff. Just a bunch of other problems.

Good luck and like many said, follow the orders, then you will get to fish earlier.
