    Default green river

wife and I staying at holmes bend Monday and Tuesday. We greatly appreciate any fishing reports on depths and so forth. Hope to post some picks when we get back. Our first time out this year to much work with the new job.

I hit Green yesterday for a few hours. The fish I caught were suspended around 6 feet, in anywhere from 7 to 15 fow. Jigs tipped with minnows or crappie nibbles seemed to do the trick. They actually hit the nibbles a little better than the minnows. I assume this is due to scent and water clarity. From the flats to the bridge the water kept getting better. The area around the ramp looked like it was ready to plow and plant row crops.

I fished yesterday from Site 1 to Butler and the water was very stained. Casting jigs and only managed 8 keepers. Graphed a lot of fish around 8 to 9 feet deep.
    Good luck

I put in at Site One around 11:00 Saturday. The water was colored and 46-47 degrees. Went around Goat Island and found fish in 24-26 FOW about 12-18 ft deep. Managed to snag a couple big girls (11 inches) and put them back, looked to be full of eggs. Windy and cold so I spent some time learning to use my SI. Water is still down. A lot of boats on the water. Plan on going back around midweek.

    Be safe,
    Terry G.

We fished 2 days kept 22 each day only kept 10" up. We could have kept more around 9". Lots of wind found ours in 9' of water on Jigs and minnows. Thanks everyone for the information. The wife and I had a nice trip. And now some good eating.
