    Default Johnathan Crk Map ?

I found a post here once with a link to a KDFW map which showed Johnathan Creek with stake beds/brushpiles placed by the state and depth/contour lines, for the life of me can't find that post again. If anyone knows of the map I'm talking about or have a map with that info I'd really appreciate a copy.

I'll be there next week with the wife and kids next week Wednesday thru Saturday chasing crappie hoping to put them on fish quick before I have mutiny on my hands.

Be sure to bring lots of warm clothes. Forecast doesn't look like spring for some time.

I don't have the link but just keep in mind that just because there is a F&W buoy out there, it doesn't mean the structure that used to be there is still there.

    ChrisS -

I think I know the type of map you are referring to, typically you can pickthose up at most bait shops (I know walmart carries them) in the area. Ifnothing else they do a good job of given you the depth and contours.

    Hope this was helpful.

I hope this is what you are looking for: fw.ky.gov/lakeswithfishattractors.asp

Remember that these are the fish attractors that have been placed by the Department. Needless to say there are a lot of others. FYI: Water temps right at 50 degrees and cold air temps expected for the next week or so.

Thanks guys very much appreciated, and yes that's the map I was looking for, nothing I can do about the weather ...but fish. Hoodie and long johns are already packed, two weeks ago I was dodging ice fishing in Ohio but the family wasn't stuck in the boat with me.

I can only make this trip during spring break due to having school age kids, if we're catching the wife won't mind coming back next year, if we're not catching fish given that there isn't much else to do she'll want to go somewhere else next year. I like to fish, she likes to catch fish!

I was planning to come down next week, but the weather has me second-guessing.

Did Wiskers retire or something? It's like his "off the boat" weather is here full time now.

Glad I was just looking this one over, I now have 3 different lakes saved to my phone. Be nice to type those into the GPS for next time I am on the lake.
