For now its just for one day. Maybe one of these days we could have a weekend event. We meet at the lake at a time set. Meet everyone, then everyone go's fishing till about 1pm, clean all the fish, fry all the fish, with all the fixins. Maybe have a prize or two. Sit around and b.s till your ready to leave. I do know that there may be a few who will be staying the night. You can also look at Holmes Bend Boat Dock - Houseboating on Green River Lake in Kentucky Houseboats . That is where it is going down. They have a location button on their site for directions. If you think you might want to stay the night before or after, they have large cabins and kamper cabins.

There is no "tournament" format ... no money transactions ... it's all about just getting together & fishing, meeting & greeting, eating some good food, and everyone pitching in to make it a fun event. I'm sure there will be some "stories" told, but I don't know if any of them will be worth a "trophy"

As soon as we come up with a date for the event, there will be another thread where we will outline what "necessities" will be needed ... and those attending can volunteer to bring or provide them. Anyone can attend the event, whether they volunteer to bring anything or not. We usually have enough people volunteering to bring the necessary items and/or do the fish cleaning, so no one should feel like they shouldn't attend just because they didn't "do anything".

If you want to see what last years event looked like, check out this thread : http://www.crappie.com/crappie/kentu...porters-3.html

(Note: sorry, no pics were taken "on the water" of anyone fishing, so as not to give away anyones honeyholes or supersecret spots !! )

Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!

Considering that it looks like the 27th is in the lead & running away ... I will close the poll this coming weekend. That will give people that have not voted on a date, a chance to consider their choice. Hopefully, even those that did not choose the date that is the final choice, will still be able to change/make plans to attend.

We already have certain people that will contribute a large portion of the necessities for having the event. Should those people not be able to make it on the final choice date, it will be up to the "others" to volunteer the missing items.

Once the date is chosen & I close the poll ... I will post a thread for a head count of people attending & providing items/services needed. Any remaining items or services will need to be provided by the remaining attendees .. by their choice (volunteering), not by assignment. Any items/services that should happen to be needed, but not furnished by attending members ... I will take care of providing. But, it's a safe bet that we will likely have more than enough to make the event successful.
