I finally got the boat on the water. After starting to mod it in January, right after duck season ended, and working on the lower unit some I was ready to get it wet. Here's the list: pulled out the middle seat cut it in half and folded and riveted the ends to make two separate seats with battery storage inside, three new swivel seats, rewired it all and installed a junction box with fuse block, new battery, breaker for the trolling motor, new carpet and floor, new onboard charger, new down imagining fish finder, new life jackets, temporary livewell until I decide how I want the permanent one, and new (used from a parts motor) gears in the lower unit. The good from the day.....I am happy with the layout of the boat, the split in the center makes getting from the front to the back much easier, the fish finder placement is great and the down imagining is nice (though it is going to take some getting used to), and the new seats are great. The bad....the new gears in the lower unit were fine, but now I have a new issue.....I am not getting full power at full throttle, some guy came hauling a** down the lake buzzed past me and threw me down on top of the minnow bucket while I busted my shin open, and finally....and possibly the worst of all.....the fish weren't biting! Not even a nibble in 3 hours. It was not my day to be on the lake!

How about some pics of the Boat mods? Sounds Like you done 'r up right!
I am happy with everything....so far. I do need to varnish the wood below the middle seats and where the electrical/fish finder are mounted, but other then that I can't see anything else that needs to be done....unless of course you count the motor issues and at this point I can't do anything else until I can get it on the lake again...hopefully tomorrow. Here ya go: The first picture shows the split up close. The second shows where my electrical junction, onboard charger, and fish finder are mounted. Third shows the seat where the forward battery is mounted (rear battery is back by the battery and is strictly for the outboard) inside the seat. The board the seat is mounted on pulls off after removing wing nuts for access to the battery. The fourth picture is more of an overall picture.
You're really gonna like that walkthru front bench...
Good job...

Looks like pro work on that walkthrough. You definitely will love that! Nice Work![]()
Good looking fishing rig. Just needs fish slime now.
Pro work?...that is a professional cut and pray job right there! Ha ha I had been working the idea up in my head for months and once I got started nothing worked out as I thought....so it evolved with each cut. If this weather would straighten out I will do my best to get plenty of slime on it!
