Finally
I finally got the boat on the water. After starting to mod it in January, right after duck season ended, and working on the lower unit some I was ready to get it wet. Here's the list: pulled out the middle seat cut it in half and folded and riveted the ends to make two separate seats with battery storage inside, three new swivel seats, rewired it all and installed a junction box with fuse block, new battery, breaker for the trolling motor, new carpet and floor, new onboard charger, new down imagining fish finder, new life jackets, temporary livewell until I decide how I want the permanent one, and new (used from a parts motor) gears in the lower unit. The good from the day.....I am happy with the layout of the boat, the split in the center makes getting from the front to the back much easier, the fish finder placement is great and the down imagining is nice (though it is going to take some getting used to), and the new seats are great. The bad....the new gears in the lower unit were fine, but now I have a new issue.....I am not getting full power at full throttle, some guy came hauling a** down the lake buzzed past me and threw me down on top of the minnow bucket while I busted my shin open, and finally....and possibly the worst of all.....the fish weren't biting! Not even a nibble in 3 hours. It was not my day to be on the lake!
