I have learned a lot about the lake and fishing the lake mostly by reading the posts. Last year ifish told me about Patti's. They had great food we had the pork chop there. Old Guide posts all kinds of useful info. I tried to get him to guide me a few times I hope his back is better.

All in all a great bunch from my standpoint. Now if I can just get them to root for IU lol. Thanks all for all your help I for one have always appreciated it.

I would expect to start catching blacks all over Blood in around 3'-5' of water close to deeper water right up tight to chunk rock banks. Seems like once water hits 54 degrees you can smoke em like that, lots of fun too. Try the smallest cork you can get away with a 1/16 oz jig, purple and char works best for me. Run the jig about 18-30" under the cork and jig it back to the boat. My kids LOVE fishing like this.

Fishing was tough for us due to the wind. Ended up catching a few 10's and 11's. Several dinks. Caught one fatty. She was a little over 15" and a little over 2lbs. Hopefully next time there isn't 15-20mph winds. Makes it tough in my little boat. Lol.

I was pretty far south in Big Sandy and think I saw an Asian Carp jump next to us??? Are they in the lake? I can tell you as someone that lives in IL and sees what they do, pray they're not... They will ruin such a great lake.
