Honestly, the way that the weather is right now.. it's hard to put a pattern together for 2 days in a row, much less weeks out. Color changes by the hour, depending on what the weather is doing, too.

usualjag, I went thursday to big sandy and fished around the powerlines actually just south of the power lines on the east side and caught 24 slabs fishing 13ft deep in 20fow. Around 11 oclock the wind got up and the water warmed up and fish just left, they didn't just quit biting, they left. So we just moved out in the middle south of the power lines and drifted in 16 fow just off the bottom and caught 18 more. Wound up with 42,spiderrigging minnows. By the way I wasn't hearing any thing good from those using jigs. Good luck. My bigger fish came from the 20fow.

Cajun Fryer - did my post say something offensive? If it did, that wasn't the intention...

I'd like to clear a couple things up. I fish the lake a lot and know it well. My largest small and largemouth bass have come from KY Lake. My whole family lives in KY. Unfortunately my uncle who was a guide there was killed in a boating accident 2 years ago. He would help me with patterns to get on before I'd head down to help me save time since I'm only able to fish for a couple days at a time. Since he is gone I was hoping with some help with patterns the fish are on right now. Sorry if I offended anyone, this wasn't suppose to turn into a pissing match or anything disrespectful. That's not what I'm all about.
No sir Usualjag you did not offen me.
the other guy ruffled my feathers a bit. Only been a member for a month and the comment about no help and tight lipped Kentuckian's
i have had a ton of help with sonar trolling motor ect. I really like crappie.com
Enough whining going back to Kentucky lake Friday! My HB should be back from a repair job.
i am going to try to get ahold of one of them tight lipped ky boys I know that is pretty sharpe with the HB stuff to make sure I have it set correctly.
    And then look out!

All I can say about these boys is When I come down from Lousyville on my yearly sanity trip, they all give me great advise and Whiskers has invited me to the porch for a jawwin session a couple times now. BBD has a very polite son who helped me at the B&G last spring. When I finally escape from up here I plan to land in the area for good. And Good people!

Whiskers and the other guys on KY lake are great. The first time we came down to Blood River Whiskers offered advise gave me his cell number in a pm and invited my wife and I to his place for a fish fry. Regretfullly we didnt make it to the fish fry we were too busy fishing lol, and I don't recall ever calling him and haven't met any of them. I do still have his number though on my cell. I have learned a lot about the lake and fishing the lake mostly by reading the posts. Last year ifish told me about Patti's. They had great food we had the pork chop there. Old Guide posts all kinds of useful info. I tried to get him to guide me a few times I hope his back is better.

All in all a great bunch from my standpoint. Now if I can just get them to root for IU lol. Thanks all for all your help I for one have always appreciated it.
