Okay fellas,
I got some questions. Used to go to Big Bear as a kid with my dad 30+ years ago. Thinking about making a return trip April 4th -April 7th. I will be camping and also want to bring to bring my boat. I remember staying in a camp site as a kid and my dad having the boat tied off right at the camp site.
1.) Does anyone know which sites would have access like that?
I might be bringing my little girl for some daddy-daughter time plus she likes to fish..
2.) Will any of you guys be down in Big Bear around that time and like to go fishing with me or me and my daughter to show us how it is done?
My dad was a pleasure boater, so Ive never fished KY Lake and am just starting to fish crappie. I usually bass fishbut am trying to convert. I also love to fish for gills. I'll have an 18' bass boat to fish out of.

Yep I'll be there. I'm in lot 73. I believe the sites right below me are suitable for what you discribed. I believe they are 29 & 30. There are other sites aswell. I'll check though.
You can go to their website & see how the campground is laid out.

Thanks Whiskers, I looked at the map on their site. It is hard to see from that angle which ones did not have a rip-rap wall. I'll give them a call. Wow they are kind of pricey($45.00 per night). They also do not have prices listed for 31-35 and several others
29 and 30 are just down the hill from Wiskers good spots
I have stayed there before nice spots just remember if you see Wiskers with a mason jar he ain't cannin beans beware.
the folks at big bear are good people and a sponsor of this forum

Yep... Sounds like they have gone up on the Lake Front lots.
Most of the one's that aren't listed are seasonal spots. 29 and 30 are gravel. Most of the others are rip rap. There are a couple directly on the other side but it may be real shallow in there.
Yep the sites everywhere are go'n up. Mostly due to increased electric and insurance costs. Not to mention Premo crappie season.
Try to stay off the SW side if you can. The wind can beat your boat up that time of yr.

I know a "pickler" as well maybe I could bring something down a we could have a taste testing. The price is just so steeeeep for camping at Big Bear. I can go to Canal Campground for 1/2 the price or stay at a motel for the same price.
