    Default Almost ready....

I wish this weather would straighten up! I have lots of new parts for the boat and have the center seat pulled out ready for the boat remodel and its been too cold to finish it all up. So far....new fishfinder, seats, pedestals, bases, and electrical components all should be in first of next week and if the weather holds out should be installed middle of next week. Also bought a spare parts motor and ordered some parts today to get the outboard ready. The nephew is coming down the second week of March to chase some crappie with me so hopefully I will have the boat squared away and ready to rock! Bring on the crappie!

Sounds neat working on a boat and getting ready for some crappie fishing. I love working on boats and have done a lot of mods on my boats over the years. Had Ranger looking at some stuff I did on mine last year and they wanted to know if it was alright to use the idea and I said sure. Be sure to keep some flotation. You may need it some day! Show us some pics. Us old farts like to do a little dreaming every now and then!

Hey ifish! What all did you do to your boat last year?

I will be putting flotation under the floor and as much as I can in what will be left of the middle seat. I will be sure and post some pictures when its all said and done!

Well the middle bench is cut and reformed and the battery compartment on one side is done, now if this weather would straighten out I could get the floors cut and carpeted and put in. Then all I have to do is wire everything up and install the new humminbird and she will be ready. Bought a storage container at Lowes yesterday to use as a temporary livewell until I can figure out what I want to do for the permanent one. I was considering riveting together a custom livewell for the back and a smaller one for the front, but now I am thinking I might get something welded up. Will post up some pictures as soon as she is all put back together.

Chris, good luck on your boat. I like to tinker around with my boat also. I bought a new boat last year and you still have to work on them to get them the way you want them. I'll be on Blood River the second week of March also so if you see a blue Tournament V-18 Tracker give me a holler!

I have never been down toward Blood river, not even sure how to get down that way! So far I have only explored the northern reaches of the twin lakes...but from what I have heard and read I need to check out that area! Good lucky to ya man.
