Wounded Warrior Project has some give back programs. Might be something to look into.

Ya'll making me hungry! I love roasted pig and I bet some wounded warriors would too! Been looking at the Wounded Warrior Give Back - Wounded Warrior Project and it looks like we need to register to use them as a sponsor. Looks complicated that way and the first year event it sounds like we would be on our own. They do not supply a list of names due to confidentiality . May contact Fort Cambel and see what they have to say. I am a vet and maybe they would help us out. We need to get a date down so we can start working on some stuff behind the scenes. I am proud of our Crappie Dot Com brothers and sisters to want to do something and give back to our great country and its very brave soldiers. I would like to form a little committee to help organize this event and work out some details. It will be a lot of work but worth it. Thanks Terry(Wiskers) for wanting to do this and all the others I do not know yet!

I have a friend that is retired Special Forces and he has put me in contact with a fella that is also retired Special Forces and has some ties to the program. The guy is also some bigtime fisherman and has ties to Bass Pro Shop also.

I sent this guy a message yesterday and am awaiting a response.

I just wanna make sure we don't bite off more than we can chew with the first 1 we have.

Buddy, I'm in right now. Got home last Wed & gotta go back on the 21st.

I've been on the phone this morning making calls and trying to get a start on this Wounded Worrier Fishing/Camping Outing. I feel like a ping pong ball! I have been bounced around all morning! I had no idea that it was this hard to do something good!

Terry, When I researched the Wounded Warrior Project Foundation it was layered pretty deep. Hard to get any solid info from their web site. Hope you have a lot of patience and hang in there OL Buddy. It will be a great event in the end.I will be available Thursday & Friday. Maybe we go wet a line and talk about some things!
