    Default Crappie Beds

What are the best structures... what has worked for you in the past?
Is it Boo, stake beds, moss back, or just a good old fallen tree?

I like stake beds. Easier to fish
Take you kids fishing today!!! They will be grown (and married and have children of their on) tomorrow. Then you can take your GRANDKIDS!

Out of those choices .... fallen tree !! But then I haven't fished the other choices so my choice is kind of a moot point

Just out of curiosity .... why wasn't stump beds, PVC condos/buckets, brushpiles, standing timber, or weed beds on your list ??

    ... cp

Good question.... a lot of good choices and i'm in the middle of making some bucket condos with wood now.
Any one wanting to post on this thread please feel free to also use CP's structure choices they are some good ones.
    Thanks Pappy!

Fallen trees & stumps up here. I like fishing stakebeds, there just aren't any in the river tribs I fish.
At least none I know of.

Put you some out.. You can build some or fix buckets if they are not directly in the current.

I've bought a bunch of pvc pipe to build beds out of, the photo is the first version, it will have a concrete test cylinder in the bucket for weight. I'm afraid it's going to be easy to knock over as it's 7' tall. I'm going to build another with the trunk horizontal and the weight on the bottom.
