Rough River

Has anyone tried Rough River lately? I know the water level issues never really got them on fire this year. I was thinking about trying it out again.

Let us know how you do. I have been going to Rough and Taylorville lake lately with no luck. Maybe it's just me,I am new to crappie fishing.

I went Saturday from 9-1. We caught about 70 but only 10 keepers. Water was frozen over and we had to break ice in a lot of spaces. I did find a nice bait caster that someone lost.

Spent a few hours at Taylorsville today. Baitfish were active. Caught a smallmouth below the dam. Other than the fog rolling over the water it was still nice to get out. Guess I'll wait for another day.
