Default What happended to the rivers in KY?

Why are they all so low like something had sucked the river out? Last week I went to Green River and the water level seem to be 15-20 feet lower than what my Insight map is showing. Yesterday I went to Rough River lake to try out my new 1198c and when I got there the water was so low that the docks was sitting on land so I left and went to Nolin and the water was even lower. I left that place as well and drove to Taylorsville lake and finally got to try out the 1198c. Drove almost 4 hours in a big circle just to get to Taylorsville lake which is only 45 mins from me if I had just went straight there.

The western end of the state stayed in drought conditions last year while the eastern part got rain. They are dumping lots of water thru the Barkley and KY dams to help keep the river levels up for traffic. I think we are still about 20 inches BELOW normal rain for the last year.

Kentucky lake is down to winter pool and will be 6 inches or so under by sunday. Careful out there.

I may be wrong but I think they'll stop pulling water at 354 (winter pool).

Green, Rough and Nolin water level are at or near normal winter draw down levels. (flood control)
You can still put in at any of these lakes, at certain ramps.
Green is the easiest, they only pull it down 7 feet.
Rough and Nolin normal drop is 25 ft.

Thats the one I used! They must be expecting lots of rain cuz they are projecting the water up not down anymore. Just got off the lake and man it is nasty! Gonna be a heck of a night.
