You're right down there around where Paul Mullins lives. Paul is my jig maker (P&S Custom Tackle) for my weedless jigheads. He's in Vicco, or close to it.
When did they change the name of the lake ?? I always knew it as Carr Fork Lake. Never been on it ... just heard it called that.
Don't know if/when I'd ever be down that way ... but, if I ever get down that way, I'll let you know. Thanks for the offer ! ...... luck2ya ... cp

I have one of those green lights I hear so much about. I used it to catch several whites a few weeks ago and want to try for crappie. What's the best setup? I fish the areas on KY Lake from the 68/80 bridge in Aurora down to Blood River. Any advice will be appreciated.
Don't know much about KY Lake, or that portion of it, but ... if I was going to night fish that area, I'd look for the main channel of Blood River ... out towards the mouth of it ... and try and find some timber along the edges of the channel. Then anchor over or next to it - put out the lights - and fish 1/3 of the way down to the bottom, 2/3 of the way, and right off the bottom ... until I found the correct depth. You can do it with different poles at the same time -- or all poles at the same time, and adjust the depths after 30mins or so of waiting. No fish after an hours fishing ... MOVE. ... luck2ya ... cp

Thanks for the tip Pappy. I went out about 5pm yesterday and stayed until 2am. I only caught 10 and 9 were during the day! It was a chore trying to keep the minnows alive but I did learn a few things. I just couldn't get the night bite. I had plenty of baitfish around the boat and was near brush at the mouth of a bay close to the main channel, but no luck. I have to get my fishing in because summer is almost over for me. I teach school and we start up very soon.

They changed the name back a few years ago when the state took over some stuff around the lake. As for mr. mullins you better watch him... he is one shady character..:D I guess I might as well let the cat out of the bag...I am his brother... Trust me nobody uses his baits more than I do... I would love to see all of the fish I have caught on his stuff...We could have a dandy fish fry... The weedless tube jig heads are the best!!!!!! You need to come down sometime and lets go fishin.....
