Meldahl update

Three of us went fishing up in the Meldahl tailrace yesterday. We didn't try to fish in the lock approach, but some other anglers told us that the lock master is continuing to "throw out" fishermen who do try. Fishing from the bank is allowed.

I would think that you could fish there as long as a boat is not coming up to lock or ready to exit chamber, but common sense does not seem to exist anymore.
