Default Another Great Day on Barren

My buddy and I had another Great Day on Barren as we put 33 in the livewell today, 11/26 as pushed our minnows up and down the channel just off the State ramp. About the time we were ready to wrap it up for the day, two guys that had been throwing jigs in a pocket of the channel asked how we'd done and we swapped stories for a few minutes. They said that the size limit for 2013 would go upto 10" for sure and that the daily limit would most likely go to 20. Has anyone else heard about this? I'm all for it as this would surely improve the quality of the crappie on Barren. Please post if you seen or heard anything to this change.Name: Thanksgiving day 2012 004.jpg

slapseeker1 great catch! It looks like to me you got to much time to crappie fish! I think Lowes needs you to work more during this Christmas rush so you will save some crappie for us working folks. Glad you had a great day fishing with a good friend.

Hadn't hear anything about the proposed regulation changes. I got a good friend who works in fisheries and will ask if he can confirm the rumor. My son and I plan to try it again for a few hours on Wednesday. Great catch!

I've learned several things today after talking to a friend of minthee who works out of the Bowling Green office of The Department of Fish and Wildlife.

1.No creel limits or size limit changes have been cut in stone as of yet, although they are trying to change both.
2.The Dept stock more crappie earlier this year.
3.A woman is alot like a fish, the longer you play them, the more enjoyment you get from the fight.
(that last one is mine, will this get me in trouble?)
