What i like to do at C.C at this time of year is look for a cluster of good standing timber in the 15-25 ft range. Pull up to it and check for a good brush pile at the base of clusters. If there is one, i tie off to the last standing timber and use the long poles to reach out to fish in the brush. It is very hard to troll or spider around the standing timber without spending more time retieing than fishing. Sometimes you'll get 3-5 off one or 10-15 or more. If it slows down, fine another. There are plenty out there. If you only get a couple and they seam scattered, then i would switch to slip floats and slowly hit every tree.
