Over the years i have tried a few others. But i allways go back to Kenny's. If i need alot of minnows, like 2-3 lbs, i may bring them down with me but otherwise i get them at Kennys. His minnows has some backbone to them. Some of them i think could put a woopin on a fish. I will usually have a few scattered across the boat because when you takem out of the dipper they squirm so bad i will drop them and they will flop all over the place. And this will be in the heat of the day. You ever notice Kennys water? Others will be more blue tint(with the bait keeper). His is clear and cold.

I prefer to buy from Kenny but that means going out of my way since I launch from Lone Valley. I have been getting them at the gas station close to the State Park on the right and they have had some abnormally large minnows this year that have been lively. The small bait shop at the campground right before you turn into the park has quality minnows but they aren't always open yet when I am heading out.

I'll have to defer your question to those that fish Green on a more consistant basis (& use minnows). I'm just getting back into fishing there, moreso than in the past few decades, so I'm not all that familiar with the current places selling bait. Even back when, I was more into casting jigs than using minnows ... and generally only fished Green in late April.

While I would tend to think that most of the bait selling stores, around Green, buy their minnows from the same place .... how they maintain them may be a key factor in how "good" they are. And I'll be watching this thread, with greater interest, since I plan on fishing Green more often than in recent years .... and using minnows more, too.
