I have lived in MO, KY, Indiana, KY again and now back in MO and have always enjoyed fishing KY lake. Would love to retire there some day. I also spend a few days each year in MS on the COE lakes. There are good people and bad people everywhere you go. Most of these places exist because of tourism money. You won't hear business owners in the area complaining about out of staters because they need them. I get just as frustrated with people that do stupid things like fish to close, jump a spot they see a fish caught or hog the ramp. But the truth is it doesn't matter what their boat sticker says they are just not respectful outdoorsman. Respect the resource and each other and there is plenty of good stuff to go around. My two cents.

There is an old saying, 10% of the people cause 90% of the problems. I am fortunate to fish many lakes and rivers thru the central US. The above problems are at a problem at all ramps I have fished. People fail to consider others. I try to find ramps that are less used or launch at slow times. One of the worst problems is that the state does not provide shore areas that you can pull your boat onto and have lunch, or go to your vehicle. Maybe someone should create a flyer of "boat launching procedures" so that we can copy and place on an offenders vehicle. Just to remind him that his or others actions, effect all of us.

    Just my 2 cents.

See you guys this weekend if the cold front is mild.

I know what you guys are saying about the jerks but keep in mind there are as many locals as OOSERs. We just tend to overlook many of them because we know the gene-pool they hatched from.
Ha! I'm staying out of this one Doug.....been down this road before! You ain't mounting them mockingbirds and songbirds now are ya?
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I saw a guy doing this at one of the ponds at the Fish & Wildlife headquarters in Frankfort. I reported the guy, but it still drives me nuts.

We got checked by our area wildlife officer mr. Cope last week...

I asked him about all the reports of him being called upon to check some "suspected" small fish scavengers...

He said said that 99% of the suspected illegal small crappie turned out to be "yellow bellies" that people from "afar" saw the suspects putting small light colored fish into their livewell and were just thought to be small undersized crappie....

He told me the same thing last fall when I reported 2 boats. I was 40' from the boats. I know the difference from 40'.

All that he has to do is drive to the back of KenOak cottages and look in the trash cans at the fish cleaning station. He can see for himself that they aren't "yellow bellies".
