Once my batteries get low or if I have to use the outboard to buck a windy direction, I use my big motor with a trolling plate on it to adjust my speed down. I troll Bandits at 1.5-1.8mph. I have a HB788 upo front and the 898 on the console along with a Lowrance 510C on the console. I keep the 898 on Navionics Premium map card so I can track the drops and the 510C so I can see structure and waypoint it on the 898 as I find it.
