Here is some info you might be interested in. Got checked at the ramp yesterday. No big deal. Guy was just doing his job but we learned something. We always clean our fish at one of the local resorts fish cleaning station. We then load up our fillets after cleaning up and run to a nearby ramp and load the boat. The GW told us that this is not to happen anymore. Kentucky law states that you are not allowed to have a processed fish (fillet) in the boat while on the water. He said to either put your fish in a bucket and take them to the cleaning station or have someone walk them up to the truck. He also said that this will be strictly enforced and that they will be cracking down hard on people taking short fish. I believe Buffalo13 can also back me up on this. Rofl
The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!

Wind is crazy here today. I did find the back of my boat last night.
Hope he only warned you and no ticket, good to hear that they are checking for short fish.Hey sixfin save the rest of us a few, don't catch them all. Ha!
He is right told us the same thing. He said this was going to be strictly enforced. What ever it takes to keep the taking of short fish I'm for it. May be a little inconvenience but I'm willing to do it
Take you kids fishing today!!! They will be grown (and married and have children of their on) tomorrow. Then you can take your GRANDKIDS!

Dang, that puts a crimp in my fishing. I normally stop by a resort and with permission, they allow me to clean mine and then I motor to the ramp. Will have to make other plans.![]()
From Steve Wunderele - 10-2-84 --"A fishing trip maybe brief, but it's memories are endless."
I always clean mine at home and had started burying the carcasses in the garden. Well, seems now I'm having more trouble than i want keeping my bulldog from digging 'em up so it's back to dumping on dirt roads for me. If anything the counties should give you a place to dump deer, fish, etc., carcassses. We dont have a short fish size limit but I'd be in favor of it. IMO, anything small that 8" is a waste to clean unless it swallows a hook.
Same here with the dog. Built my own cleaning station but my lab wants to eat the guts or drink the fish water....iced a few in a bucket outside overnight.....coon took the biggest out of my short bucket and left just the head!! Left scales and a head.....Gonna get me a coon....
