DL ... keep your eye on this forum. There's a "chance" that your trip may coincide with our annual Green River Lake Slabfeast. If it does, your group is cordially invited to join us. We'll be having it at Holmes Bend Marina, as usual. If it should happen to occur after our event, there will be plenty of info posted to help your group cope with not being familiar with the lake.

You'll also do well to watch for fishing reports from Green, posted in the weeks prior to your planned trip. They will help you gauge what stage the fish are in, what the lake & weather conditions are, and possibly what areas of the lake are producing. Every year, things are a little different than in the recent past, so predicting from this early in the year might prove futile. Best to get more recent info, especially in the Spring.

And you are right about not seeing any "up to date" fishing reports online. They wouldn't really give you any pertinent info, for the timeframe of your trip, anyway. I will PM you some links ... not fishing reports, but things that will be useful to your group.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for bringing your group to KY, to fish. Also, let me say ... Welcome to Crappie.com !!

Thanks CP and terri for the replies. I am a Kentuckian by birth, born and raised in Maysville, and even though I live about 20 minutes north of Knoxville, TN, I still bleed blue, as in "Go Wildcats!". Makes life interesting down here.
