I won't use anything shorter than 12'. To me shorter rods don't get the bait far enough away from the boat. Both B n M & Southern Poles are good rods & they sponsor our get together every year. I fish the older BPS WM 12' rods. Haven't broke any yet. As they are retired I'll replace them with the B n M's. Again, IMO anything shorter than 12' is too short for what I do.
