If you are looking to camp, Hillman Ferry in LBL is a nice place. Two ramps within the campground, fairly nice showers and decent sized sites with reasonable prices. There are crappie right in the bay and you are close to the major north end bays.

Here you go, this is a good place, that is less than a mile from KY Lake, and the Paris Landing Marina/boat launching ramp.

I live less than 20 miles from this area.

Deer hunting is very popular in this area, so at times they lake may be less crowded this time of the year, since people like me are focused on Deer hunting.

I know some people that are catching Bass right now, early in the mornings.

Kentucky Lake is 160,000 acres of water.

Ky Lake is 185 miles long.

Barkley Lake is 57,000 acres of water, both lakes combine for nearly 220,000 acres of water.

So you will have nearly a quarter of a million acres of water to explore on the Lakes.

eagle1 is right about fishtail lodge, 1 mile to Kentucky lake, Paris Landing State Park Marina ,a new convienence store directly accross the street with non ethenol fuel, for minnows try Fords, just about 500 yard down the road 3dozen for $1.00. Fishtail lodge is a great place, clean, comfy and close to some great CRAPPIE FISHING, as others have said March and April and Early May are the Best spring times. I live nearby in Dover Tn, so if you get this way and need anything pm me and I will assist if I can, Good Luck.
