    I am now beginning to place 5 gallon buckets with 1 x stakes out will these buckets form algae by fall to hold fish. Thank y'all for all answering all my dumb questions I'm new to alot of this

    The warmer the water the faster the algae will grow, you should be in good shape by winter.

    I dropped some 1x2'' in buckets a few weeks back and it held fish the following weekend. You'll be fine.
