    Default Green 6/10

Fished green today from 7-4. Put in at Holmes Bend covering a lot of water from there past Butler creek. Water temps ranged from low to high 80's on top depending where you were. Caught lots of short fish, but managed 25 keepers. Most were good fish over 10. I can't seem to pattern these fish any better than one keeper here and another over there and another a mile away etc. Caught fish anywhere from 10 feet to 35 feet. This is the strange part, most fish were caught about three cranks off the bottom. If anyone has advice on what these fish are doing, I'm all ears.

    Hope this helps
    Good Luck

stsburnsy, I have the same situation. Catching lots of fish, but 10 short ones to 1 keeper.
All I do is cast, just like fishing that way. My guess is the better fish, and better keeper to short ration is coming from trolling and spider rigging.
I hope to get back over there tomorrow and try some more.
Ain't it fun trying to figure this stuff out ???
    Good fishing

fished Green from 7-4. Had about the same luck. Picked up one here and there. Had 20 keepers and 4 were in the 12-13" range. The best ones came on main lake.

I see you have been doing o.k.Thumbs Up

I have not been on the lake none but where we have been having these scattered storms for the last three days north, south and east. The barometric pressure has been rising and falling with these pop ups and it may have the fish scattered everywhere. At 12:30 this afternoon it was around 31 and at 5:30 this evening it was 29 and starting to rise again. This is just my guess.

'Least youre catching.Thumbs Up I also troll here in Ga. and find that when I'm in little fish that's about all I catch so I dont stick to that one area very long. On my last trip to the lake yesterday I was catching small fish until I hit this one spot, a stretch about 300 yards long in the main lake (a hump) and caught about 70 more between 11AM-1:30PM with probably 80% of them 10" or better. Largest was a 14"er. Other than the depth change I didnt see anything on the graph that was holding the fish there. Wasnt marking any large amounts of bait either so it had to be the right water temp/oxy content to suit 'em in that depth of water. As the fish moves more towards theyre summer pattern it's harder to find the big ones, that's for sure.

Sounds like the tourney at Nolin but we got hailed on twice there. Its been between 90-93 the last four days with the heat index near the 100 or a little over. That's in Lexington, Green river lake runs 3-5 degrees hotter than up here. Being on the water for some reason makes it feel hotter with no shade. Sunday its only going to be 84 with no humidityHands Clapping. If everthing is ok i am going to try Sunday.
