    Default how to troll

I would like to try trolling for crappie this summer.
How do you control the depth of your lure?
    Appreciate any help .

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Thanks to all.
Looks like some good info. Will sit down this evening after work and start digesting.

yes boat speed, amount of line and lure weight is important but 2 more things you might not be thinking about is having the right poles and boat setup is very important or you will have a big mess.

The size and type of line also will effect the depth. If 1 pole has 6 pound fireline and another has 6 pound mono they are going to run different. Every pole has to be the same for it to be an effective technique.
