Terry,
Dangit, now I got to put my crappie rods back in the boat!
Great catch and you called it. Those would be good in a fish fry Sat. night. I can bring some fixxins if you want.

As a rule by this time most all the crappie are spawned out. In those 10 females 2 were Blacks. You NEVER see Blacks with eggs around here this late! I have caught fish with eggs this late before but it was Whites & 1 here 1 there. This was over 50% of my catch!
Oddest year I've ever seen! Last year our water temp was bump'n 80 by now. The mouth of the bay I caught these in yesterday was 65/66.

Good catch Terry, don't post to many more pic's though, I'll get the fever again.
I know everything I saw with eggs late up here were whites. And your right, this is an odd year.
All these lakes had been a yo-yo early then they went up and stayed that way. I'm hoping by next week I'll be able to fish my home lake, I haven't been on it since March.
Everyone's still wearing jackets...come on, it's mid May.
