That being said I feel the biggest problem on KY/Barkley is the fact that there are folks out there who do not obey the law. I know this has been discussed on here several times and there is not a great way to fix this problem, but something needs to be done. In the last 2 weeks I have witnessed people putting every fish they catch in the live well. You may ask how do i know they were short? because they saw me catch a fish and decided they need to be right next to me:mad:. I ask the guy if he knew that he was keeping short fish and he replied that he had no idea what i was talking about:eek:. I then asked him where he put his boat in and he replied Big Bear. I told him there was a yellow sign that tells the limits. He said he didnt see it. I know it was there because I saw it that morning walking from my truck to my boat.
This is the biggest problem our lakes face. People who willingly break the law whether it is short fish or more than the limit. And it is not just crappie. Many people will keep any size or amount of any fish. The state must step up to the plate or risk loosing one of the biggest money makers in West KY!!!!!
