Barren Report
Well it's not much of a report. Went this afternoon from 3-7 caught probably 6 or 7 with 2 being keepers. Caught the 2 keepers (black crappie) fishin about 3-4 ft deep. Had a decent white in 25' that came off that looked to be around 11-12". I fished shallow for most of the afternoon. Water was around 65-67.
Do y'all think the blacks are just now starting to come up or in the process of leaving?
The odd thing was that all afternoon i seen only 2 other boats on the lake. The lake was so quiet it was almost strange. Is the fishin that bad, or gas too high, or what?

Barren 4/23
Fished Barren 8-1 Saturday and caught about 10 crappie with 5 good keepers. All 5 were loaded with eggs. Caught a nice channel cat and a bunch of short bass all fishing in 6-8 feet of water. 2 whites and 3 blacks all around 11 inches. Its a slow bite, but I don't think they are all the way up yet.
