My Dad and I got on the lake about 3 and ended up with 14 keepers. Most were male blacks.

My Dad got a refresher in light line fishing today. He hooked a HUGE bass on a drop and started horsing it big time. I grabbed the net and told him to take it easy! He fought it like he was using a surf rod and 40 pound test and broke it off at the net. I was PIZZZZZZZED!!! 6 pound test and a bass that looked 2 feet long don't take much horsing!

The wind has been hideous and it seems to stack up the boats in calmer areas. Today we got cut off about 1/2 dozen times, once by a clown in a pontoon who cut us off twice. The 2nd time he jumped in our path no more than 20 yards in front of us. Calmer heads prevailed but not until I seriously considered giving him the riot act. I know crowds can be part of crappie fishing but we were slow trolling and when folks would see us catch a fish, here they came and most of the time they got directly in our path at close range. I don't treat folks like that and don't like it when I get that treatment!
