Thanks for all of the responses! Sounds like we better hit Patti's at least one while down there.

Another one for Patti's, pricey but great food, Knoths BBQ in Lake City has some of the best BBQ in this part of the country. If you want a burger go to Home Town Market and get a Bubba Burger Thumbs Up, they are about a mile off of I-24, north on 453 at exit 31.

I can't believe that they haven't rebuilt.
I guess I'll be the odd man out and say that I'm really not impressed with Patti's for what you pay for it. I've never had a good porkchop there regardless of how everyone raves about them. Maybe other people like theirs overcooked and dry as sawdust. The best things that I have eaten there have been the bread, spinach salad with hot bacon dressing and the cheese sticks.
I am with you. When it's all said and done you paid good money for a dry pork chop. I vote for Knoth's, Dinner Bell. Catfish Kitchen and Willow Pond can be decent. I think Lacey's has gone downhill the last few years. If you don't mind a drive to Paducah try the Kastle.
I would be most folks then. I remember when I was young and my family would go camping at Hillmans. One night while we were down we would go to the Iron Kettle and eat. They used to have goldfish swimming in the little weedy troughs that held the air conditioner condensation water.
We went when you still went in through the front door and not through the gift shop type thing. My wife and I made it through there once or twiced before it burnt. We found out one night when we were over that way fishing at Barkley the hard way. Ended up getting ice cream or somethign from the little ice cream shop. Sometimes we will pick up groceries at the IGA.
All good choices. I love Belews drive-in in Aurora for great burgers. The Oasis at Eddyville has pretty good steaks and grill fare. Moors Restaurant on the Marina has a pretty good lunch menu with a great dockside atmosphere. Pattis, nice. Brass Lantern in Draffenville was once one of the finest steakhouses in Ky, I haven't been there in years.

if you want southern cooking the dinner bell is the place, buffet with great fried catfish, and the best pan fried pork chops anywhere! its a buffet style served on old cast iron wood stoves, you sit on picnic benches, learn a lot from other fisherman about Jonathan creek fishing,,
judys is good, but too much of a tourist trap for me,,
