I've been keep'n track of the Oh., Tn., & Cum rivers. The Tn system has been pretty aggressive about getting the water out of the pools further south & are closer to being back to where they want to be this time of year (with the exception of KY Lake). The Cumberland has still got a little extra water upstream, but are getting in better shape. The Oh. is started back down up north (thank God). You'll see Ky. & Barkley start pulling water more & more as the Oh. falls. You'll probably see the flow at Ky. go into the low 200's within a week or so. You let a good weather system start heading this way & you may even see high 200's or 300's. I really think they'll flush this lake out fast as they can. If they still have extra water in the system when Cairo goes below 40' & TVA takes back over... Look out! TVA will pull the plug big time!
To answer your question about the fish'n... Historically speaking it is "the kiss of death" for us locals. A good steady so fall I can deal with on Ky. The stop & go stuff really screws the fish up! I'm afraid it's gonna be hit or miss for the next couple of weeks. There may be more bad days than good days.
On the bright side... I like the water color right now.
