    Default Willisburg Lake

Does anyone know anything about Willisburg Lake? I believe it is in Marion County. I drove past it the other day and it looked great but that doesn't mean anything. If you know the lake what are the details like whats in it or do you need any special permit or anything like that. I have never heard of it before and it is fairly close with only another 30 minutes past the dead sea in Taylorsville, which by the way looked like a chocolate shake on Sunday when I drove past it. Any information would be great.

I have heard it is a real good blue gill lake. Any one can fish the lake and you don't have to have a permit, just a fishing license.Thumbs Up

The lake is in Washington County. I've heard the crappie have gotten better there. There are shad in it now, so the fish should be eating well. Have wanted to try it, but the water level was too low to launch my boat until the floods came. Hope to try it this spring.

Never Crappie fished Willisburg but I have had some great days bass fishing it. One day a couple of years back my brother in law and me both limited out and smallest was 2.6 lbs and largest was just over 5! The ramp is private and they charge a launch fee. Haven't been in a while so I'm not sure how much they charge. There's also no HP limit on the lake so you can run the big motor.

It looked real nice with mainly rocky bank. I also noticed it didn't seem real muddy. I like lakes that I know I have a good chance at both bass and crappie. Might try it out soon.
