Recently put a camper on Ky lake .can hardly resist coming down from Northern KY .is it worth the time to come with all this big water. Retired an can go any time , will be after crappie. Can some one give advice or there thoughts on what they would do.

My advice? Go fishing, my man! What are you waiting for?? Depending where you are located there are several coves on both sides of the lake - that is where I would start.

The fish were anywhere from 5' deep to 20' deep over the weekend. It's anybody's guess as to what they are going to do with this crazy weather and water levels that we are having.

Just don't put yourself in a position where you have to cross or run a long way N/S if you don't have a large boat or experience with big water. These lakes are small OCEANS when the wind gets up! Stick to some of the larger bays and find a place out of the wind.

Kentucky Lake is 160,000 acres of water. KY Lake is 180 miles long.

Barkley is 57,000 acres of water.

Both lakes cover 220,000 acres of water.

The fishing can be good or bad depending on the weather, water levels, and other people.

I will be on KY Lake this weekend if the weather gets better.
