    Default Barren 3-8-11

Went around 9am.Had planned to go around daylight.

Water was stained but not bad. I like it with some color.

Found them around blow downs in the channel. The smaller ones at around 8' and the bigger ones a little deeper. Most of them had eggs in them.

Caught a bunch of small ones.

Wind was bad and the ramp was a trashpile at best.

There was some stuff floating but not as much as I thought there would be. The conditions overall were much better than I expected. If I hadnt run out of trolling motor battery I would heve ended up with a fine bunch of fish. They were tight on the blowdowns. I needed to long pole to keep from hanging up and it was windy. Boat control was key and I didnt have that very long. Guess I will have to spend the money on a new battery before next trip. I was also surprised that I only saw 2 other boats in 4 hr or so trip. Id be back out right now but am babysitting my 2 yr old grand daughter... I enjoy that more than fishing anyway and that is saying alot! Good Fishing

    Got it...answered it.

I am going to try and go in the morning. Even though I have a lot of stuff I need to do here.

I love this time of year. Crappie, Turkeys, and morels. Nothing like it.
