    Default Double Seat Rig

Does anybody use that Grizzly Double Seat Rig? If so do you have any pictures? I was thinking about purchasing this but not sure. Is it in the way or too bulky is my concern? Thanks.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I haven't got any pics but mrdux picked 1 or 2 up for himself & Quackestacker, at the tackle show Thur. He may have some pics soon.

I looked at them & they look like they would hold up 2 big ol'boys.

One of the things I really liked about it was the center pedistal post receiver. You can't really see it in their picture. When You place the double seat in the boat you can put a pedestal down in the center whole to hold it in place. I have a buddy that had the Mr Crappie double seat & it sucked. Nothing to hold it in place. Every time he got up on plane & hit a wave the darn thing would blow over or bounce in the floor board or in the lap of the guy he was fish'n with. He sold it & built his own.

I think they are well built & worth the money!

It would be appreciated if I could get some pictures. Just curious how they look set up in a boat. You are right Wiskers, you can't see that pedestal holder very well in the picture. Thanks guys.

I use the Tempress Double down. I had the same problem with the seat wanting to fly away going any faster than 20 MPG but I found a pretty easy fix. I used a couple pieces of pipe (cut to size) and an old pedestal I had lying around. The downward pipe sits into the pedestal about 6 inches and the wind completely locks it in place. I can now run wide open (58 mph) and the thing won't budge. When I want to take it out, there's nothing to unscrew or anything. Just pull it out. here's a couple of pics

    DKB23,
I think you and a buddy of mine (Tsherman) have been PM'ing. We got his new boat out on Coffeen Saturday and did a little poking around. Probably caught 10 or 12 crappie up north but nothing measured. We didn't really care though. The trip was mostly to check out his new electronics. I think we spent more time looking at his new HDS10 than watching our rods. LOL Thanks for the tips! How did you end up?

You sure have a picky behind! It's worked well for my fat ***. Here's a pic of me and a buddy (over 500 lbs combined) with her in a jon boat we rebuilt for a little 25 acre lake. As you can see....We haven't missed too many meals and she still didn't buckle!

mrdux dropped mine off on Friday and I painted and mounted the bases on it Saturday. I haven't taken the cover off of the boat yet and I still need to get another seat to use on it. It may be a few weeks before I get any pictures of it in the boat. I can tell you this much.. it will get torture and weight tested in my boat.
