Id say quality wise Dale crappie are up there close to ky/barkley fish, but you prob wont get the numbers you get on the twins because DHollow is not nearly as fertile a body of water as those river type reserviours, lots of clear deep water in dale. I think theres no prettier lake to fish than DH and always enjoy trips down there but I usually was fishing for smallies.Plenty 2lb crappie are in dale from what I hear and ive seen pics of 3 lbers from there, big ol black crappie. Its similar to cumberland which has some hog crappie too but just not gonna get the numbers like you do on more fertile lowland lakes. Id take quality over quantity anyday though to be honest. Let us know how you do if you go! Good luck.
