    Default Humminbird 587ci HD Combo

Good afternoon everyone. First let me start by thanking all of you that responded to my type of line question earlier. You guys have far more knowledge than I and your help is appreciated. So I have another question in regards to depth finders. I purchased a boat that has a Humminbird 587ci HD combo. I assume I need to get a chip for it. Anybody have any ideas on which one and why? I fish Kentucky lake around Benton about twice a year, this is what I'd be interested in. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Go here and see compatability for your 587...NAVIONICS: The Leader in Electronic Charts

Unless I'm reading it wrong..it looks like the Navionics "Hotmaps" or the "Premium" chip would work in your unit..

Then here to see the your area lake...in the "Premium" chip..NAVIONICS: The Leader in Electronic Charts

Then here to see your area lake ...in the "Hotmaps"....NAVIONICS: The Leader in Electronic Charts

It also looks like KY and Barkley are "High Definition" maps in these lists...

Your gonna need the "E" (East) region chip in either the "Hotmaps" or the "Premium"..

I use that same "Premium East" chip in my 1197 and I love it...depth contours to 1 ft increments....

I fish KY and Barkley lakes exclusively.....

Hi, I live on Lake Cumberland and fish Ky. Lake, Guntersville, and many others. I use a 788ci on the front of my boat with a navionics EAST premium chip, it doesn't get any better. I also have a HDS-7 Lowrance and I rely on the Humminbird after I get to the spot I'm gonna fish. You will really like your 587 with the navionics premium. You can find them in many different stores including Bass Pro and Cabelas. Good Luck
