Do you reckon they might leave the destruction rubble at the bottom of the lake..??

Might make some interesting fishing structure...

You must be the minority. I haven't seen a bike rider use it yet, even though it is open. All of them have been riding down the road.

Too much of it to not be a navigation hazard, I would think. I just hope they put something in the pilings to tie off to. The last rendering that I saw didn't look like there was much of a way to tie off.

Demolition & removal is expensive! I would say that in the main channel they will remove anything that is not covered by at least 20' of water in winter pool. Outside the channel I see no need to remove the piers.

I hear they are going to put the piers on the new bridge 110ft apart and paint them OD green to avoid disturbing the views of lakefront property owners.

I hope you're joke'n! My understanding was that the channel span is gonna be over 400'.

110' gives me 5' of clearance on a 15 barge tow!

I live in Murray, KY and I hunt a lot over in LBL, I think most of the road work on Highway 68/80 is done. As far as I know they have not started yet on the new bridges.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.

I live in an Outdoor Paradise
