I fished yesterday and the fishing was fair, ended up with 18 fish and lost 4 at the boat. I dont know when i am going to learn to use a dip net every time/ maybe someday. Most all of the fish i caught was at 11 to 12 feet, and most all of the fish was 11 to 13 inches. Seems that the fish are really scattered as they are normally this time of year.

Were you spider rigging or fishing brushpiles? I fished brush and didn't do well at all yesterday.

I was fishing brushpiles and stake beds. I say the fishing is fair as it took me most of the day to get the 18 fish,although i did catch a lot of small fish.

I think you did pretty good, I fished brushpiles and stake beds in 8-13 fow for 6 hours and only had 2 keepers. Did lose 2 good ones at the top of the water and like you caught a bunch of dinks. Missed alot of fish too, tried a bunch of colors and jig styles and was tipping with nibbles. Kept pulling the skirt down on the jig, wish I had taken the time to stop and get minnows to tip with.
