    Default Big Sandy accomadations?

I am going to try to go to Big Sandy at the end of the month. I have never fished it at winter pool and was wondering if there was a place to stay that had a marina with deep water. I hear alot if warnings about the shallow water down there and thought the marinas might be high and dry. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I wouldn't worry about marinas being dry. Much of the shallow stuff is out in the middle of the lake. Study a map, and subtract 5ft from the numbers on it and you'll be fine. Just don't hammer down unless you know where you are.

Buchanan Resort is the only place I've been down there, and it's been a while. It was a nice place then.

I plan on being there at the end of the month also. Like CatFan said - most all of the marinas will be accessible. I always use Buchanan Resort. It is a nice place and you will have no problem using their ramp or marina. There are some low water hazards in Big Sandy that could ruin your trip . As previously stated, study a map and do not run hard unless you are sure of your location. The plus side is there is a lot of great crappie fishing to be done there in the next few weeks.
