Ky lake is ALL about underwater cover (stakebeds etc.) without GPS and brushpiles you are lost on KY. The guides won't allow you to bring GPS. However, Barkley has just as big Crappie and loads of visible cover ( lay downs, Willows, Cypress and buck brush. I have fished Ky many times and I get very frustrated cause there is just nothing to visibly fish. Just thought i would throw that in for ya. You could stay near Eddy Creek and fish there for a week and never fish the same pocket.
